Membership



The purpose of this policy is to cap the number of gym members at a number the facility size and coaches availability can support.  This will ensure safety and keep wait times reasonable.  Members who attend frequently are less prone to injury which is a primary reason for the minimum attendance requirements.

Drop-Ins: This policy does not apply to drop-ins by transiting CrossFitters and personnel deployed to Rota for less than a month.  You will continue being able to drop in without attending an on-ramp by demonstrating sufficient knowledge of typical CrossFit movements to a coach.

Membership:  Membership is currently capped at 40 active members.  An active member is someone who has attended at least four training sessions in the previous two weeks.  Membership will not be terminated for active members who go on Deployment/TAD/Patrol or have some other legitimate excuse, but it is your responsibility to notify CrossFit Rota via email or Facebook to place your status on hold.

Joining: Email or facebook message us to be placed on the waitlist to join.  Include in your message your CrossFit experience and whether you are PCS'd to Rota or deployed here.  Experienced CrossFitters only have to demonstrate knowledge of movements once a space opens up, inexperienced members will have to attend one of our periodic On-Ramps.  
Formerly Active Members wishing to rejoin are placed at the bottom of the waitlist.  If former members had not developed a necessary competence prior to ceasing attendance they will be required to re-take the On-Ramp.  If there are no personnel on the waitlist penance will be assigned instead.  Your penance will be decided by a coin.

  2. What if I have been doing crossfit for over 2 years and have my level 1, do I still need to demonstrate my knowledge of crossfit movements to join?
